Casa Fuma Fine Cigars – Gilbert, AZ

Casa Fuma Fine CigarsHow do you write the perfect review for the perfect cigar lounge…?

Somewhere between a portrait of American life by Norman Rockwell and an episode of Cheers lies the nature and grandeur that is Casa Fuma Fine Cigars. When sitting down with friends, many a conversation has been had on what our ideal cigar store would look like, and I am glad to say that Casa Fuma not only accomplishes that, but exceeds expectations! From the first time you walk in, its like an man’s version of Disneyland, there is just something magical about it. It could be the inviting seating area, or perhaps the affable staff, or well stocked humidor, but whatever it is, it works!

Enter in past the permanent fixture named Walt, the grumpiest-kind old man, you will notice that the store is simple and elegant; it strikes a fine balance between refined and functional arenas. All of the furniture is either constructed of sturdy rich wood, or supple leather that allows one to sink into a chair or couch for a sinfully luxurious cigar smoking experience. If your pace is more of a sports bar appeal, then that can be accommodated too at the bar where many an individual come to blow of some steam via a nice cigar and a flat panel TV (6 TV’S), that has all of the latest in movies and sport packages. Of course some prefer to be close to Mother Nature and that can be delivered too via the outdoor patio. A very large outdoor seating area which features comfortable seating and canopy’s to create an enjoyable outdoor smoking experience.

The seating, both indoors and out, is set in such a way that it will accommodate any type of visit. A business man can use areas as his office. The small group can sit and converse in private and the largest of groups can mingle and socialize with ease. It’s also arranged so the business man can join the group or the group can turn into the larger party, assisted by the Cheer’s like atmosphere the patrons create.

Get out of that seat, that’s Coach’s chair!” A group will yell as Coach, one of hundreds (or so it feels) of regulars, walks into the lounge. Everyone visiting is warmly greeted and invited in all conversation going through the Gilbert cigar lounge. The people, from your regulars to first time visitors, are instantly friends and treated as such. You will truly feel like this is not a cigar lounge but another extension of your daily routine – for many their second home.

Arizona Cigar LoungeThe Humidor layout is also very nice, and comes replete with a veritable cornucopia of cigar choices for anyone to enjoy; from the novice to the cigar aficionado you can find a stick that is sure to be a pleasurable smoke. And if you aren’t quite in the mood to smoke it that second, why not buy a storage locker? Casa Fuma has their beautiful individually made storage lockers in various sizes to insure that each one of your sticks is in pristine form for the moment you want to pull it out and smoke it. Of course another important factor of the store is its price points, and I am thrilled as a frequent customer to report that the points are fair for the market, if not below the market on some very great sticks. Another incentive to buy is that you can become a Casa Fuma rewards card member and earn 1 point for every dollar spent on cigars, and cigar products. After a hundred dollars in purchases, you can get ten dollars back in store credit to use.

So if you are looking for a place that allows you to come and sit for a moment, or just come and pick a stick from a great selection, then Casa Fuma Fine Cigars in Gilbert, Arizona is the place to be. Not only do they have the best cigar store hours in Arizona (open to ten on weekdays, twelve on weekends, earlier and later for special events/sports), but they have a great selection of sticks at a great price. But perhaps the single most important trait to me, is that as an individual I can come and sit a spell, take a load off my feet, interact with some great individuals from all different walks of life, and smoke a cigar in an inviting environment; where as the old Cheers song goes, “everybody knows your name.

Great looking shop, great looking humidor, and really great description. Sounds like a great spot – I am going to have to check it out one of these weekends. Always like to explore a new humidor and see what I can find. Kudos to Walt and Casa Fuma cigars for making a well place for us cigar-philes.

Great review. Guess I will have to go check this shop out sometime. I think it is right around the corner from me.

  • Nick L. says:

The article does a good job at discribing that “feel” that makes this place so awesome and fun. BUT I do think it needs some more work when discribing what really makes this place pop.

How about mentioning how it feels like home? How everyone that goes in contributes in some wya to make it a great place?

Food is always brought in for events, catered, for people to enjoy. Watching the game(s) or fight on the 6 tv’s.

The people that work there are relaxed and bendover backwards for you.

They open early and stay late for all the games or events on tv.

They have hard to find, estate, limited production cigars.

    Spacious patio.

Why is the article missing all these points?

Nick, It seems to me that all your points were addressed. I will agree though it could have hit home a little more with some of the limited edition cigars.

Great Review, hit the nail on the head with that statment “like a man’s version of Disneyland”… I have been there one there wasn’t a seat available and also have had the opportunity to sit with Wyatt or Cliff during the middle of the day with not another soul in the shop. I spent several months in Philly and in NYC and hit all of the shops I could find – not one holds a candle to Casa Fuma. Sure I have been to shops that have humidors bigger than my house but there isn’t another shop out there in my opinion that has that family friend feel that Cliff and company have built. Thanks Fellas…

  • Rick says:

Great Review, I completely agree with everything said in this review… Casa Fuma is a great place to both stock up on cigars as they have a great selection at great prices and its a great place to go in, sit and relax with great people. I found Casa Fuma about a month ago and already I can tell you that I have met many great people there and become friends with MANY fellow patrons of the shop. It is a hidden gem and I am very glad Cliff decided to hide it in Gilbert…

I wish them all the best…

Great Review for a great store…

This is a great review! I have been going there since the day it opened and I love this place! The place is decorated perfectly, there is enough room to sit and mingle, the staff is awesome and always willing to help out. It’s not real smoky even with a packed house. It’s a place you could go and spend hours there and have a great time.

  • I am very happy that there is such a great relaxing atmosphere at Casa Fuma. After a 12-15 hour day of work, there is nothing as wonderful as meeting up with the regulars at Casa Fuma and having a smoke. Cliff, Wyatt and Rob are great guys. This place is the best therapy.

Finally, a relaxed atmosphere to just kick back and hang out with other cigar smokers. Very freindly, you don’t feel like you walked into a private club where no one knows you. Cliff is a great host. A great collection of smokes for all levels. 5 smoke rings……..

  • Rachel says:

Casa Fuma is great. I do enjoy a good cigar from time to time. The thing that I love about it there is that the guys are always more than accomidating. Whether or not you are there to smoke they make it a great experience.

  • Cliff says:

Thanks for the great review and for all the great comments..

  • Mike says:

I stop in every Monday before my hockey game for a smoke and to get some reading in. It’s the perfect place to relax after a long day. The guys are great and they make you feel like a “regular” from your first visit.

  • Jay says:

Another one bites the dust! I went by here twice last week and it was closed both times. I guess it is a sign of the times…

  • Michael says:

    Is the shop closed???

  • Don says:

I guess it is. Tinder Box in Mesa also shutting down! This sucks!
