La Fabrica Para Ti is a small cigar factory located just outside of Santiago, Dominican Republic.  Fred SchRader, wine maker and friend of Pete Johnson has decided to release his debut cigar with efforts of breaking into the SUPER premium industry with the release of the SchRader Hispaniola. With Schrader’s friendship, and Petes desire to break into the wine industry, Havana Cellars is now the exclusive distributor for all cigars coming from the La Fabrica Para Ti Factory.  With Pete’s BUZZZ factor and the Para Ti was instantly put on the map.

I must say, I was very excited to try the Para Ti.  It being a dominican puro and just the look in general had me drawn to it.

Appearance: The Para Ti Hermosos is a 5.5 x 52, well filled beauty.  The band is simple and clean with open hands holding what looks like a bundle of cigars out as almost an offering and the words Para Ti (for you).  Very nice look.  The wrapper is brown and oily with some clean veins.  Triple capped and heavy in the hand, it definitely fits the mold of a premium.

Burn: The Burn on the Para Ti was jagged at times but didn’t need much correcting.  For the most part, the burn was clean and even with a charcoal gray ash that was flakey at times.

Flavor: The flavors were very interesting on the Para Ti.  They started off with your typical tobaccos flavors with lots of spice for a Dominican puro in my opinion.  Not a bad thing, just interesting.  Towards the midpoint of the smoke I picked up some sweetness and toasty notes along with some back end spice.  VERY complex and definitely medium bodied throughout.  Enjoyable and complex.

Conclusion: I really enjoyed this cigar.  It was flavorful and complex enough to add to the normal rotation.  I smoked 3 of these and the profile was very consistent on each but I could pick up small hints of hidden flavors in each smoke that have me wanting more.  I will definitely be grabbing some more for the humidor.  The big question is…  where do I find them??  Happy Hunting…

Excellent review. The thing that I’ve enjoyed most about the Para Ti is that each smoke has been unique. How did the nicotine content affect you? I found myself quite jittery after I smoked this one. Strange, that hasn’t happened to me before. Have you tried the Schrader yet? I’d love to get my hands on one.
