“The RECLUSE cigar is comprised of the absolute finest of everything. From the seed that is sown, to the blend of the tobacco leaves that make up this masterpiece, to the painstaking fermentation. Under the watchful eye of the maestro, Don Jose Rafael in the Leyendas Cubanas factory”. At first I read this and saw the cigar and didn’t think anything of it. Until you start to smoke it do you realize that they really did put hours of work into each and every one of these cigars. I hadn’t heard very much about this brand until I smoked this cigar. After doing some research they have some of the most controlled environments of any cigar manufacture I have seen. Therefore giving them ideal conditions for cigar rolling and blending.
The Smoke:
This cigar started off medium bodied with flavors of very nice earth and herbs with a mild amount of red pepper underneath. Not very complex but some great flavors. I did read another review and saw what I categorize as herb characterized as orange peel and caramel. I can see them being pretty similar.

The second third continued the same as the first third getting a little stronger towards the end and picking up coffee flavors and some nuttiness.

The final third picked up in strength turning to strong smooth coffee with almonds and floral flavors also pretty strong.
The Burn:
This was my only problem with this cigar. It made a burn in more of a V shape. Now most people hate when a cigar burns like that. I’m not saying that I like it but what I do have to say is that on this cigar the flavors are so nice and complex that it’s something I can overlook.

Conclusion:
This cigar is going to be released in 10 different sizes in October and I would encourage many people to go try this cigar. It is not perfect but it is very good. It could be something that you decide it is your new go to cigar. Other than the burn I enjoyed this cigar very much and will more than likely smoke another in the near future.
