1) Edicion Limitadas 2012 (400)

Since 2000, three special long filler cigars are released as part of the Cuban “Edición Limitada”. The collectible items are highly sought after and only released in limited quantities. The Edicion Limitadas 2012 have lived up to the high expectations and especially created a buzz among German aficionados.

The Montecristo 520 is the biggest Edicion Limitadas 2012 vitola. The name is a tribute to the discovery of (Cuban) tobacco by Europeans 520 years ago. With its massive ring gauge of 55, this Montecristo caters to the current trend of fat cigars. The length of 6 1/8 inches is typical for this new vitola called Maravillas No. 3. The beautiful cigar sports a medium to full flavour and an outstanding aroma. Lush, complex and robust, the Montecristo 520 is a feast for Habano fans.

Second in line is the Partagas Serie C No. 3. With a length of 5 1/2 inches and a comparatively modest ring gauge of 48, this cigar packs the most powerful punch among the Edicion Limitadas 2012. The way aficionados love it, this cigar stands for an inimitable, intense flavour and an exquisite aroma. It enables one to revel in the spice and temperament for which Cuban cigars are famous all around the world. Connoisseurs can be assured of a rich and deep smoke.

The first release for 2012 was the H. Upmann Robustos, a more classic vitola created to appeal to a broader audience, yet true to the exclusive Habano character. Everyone who enjoys a lighter smoke that feels right at all times of the day should go for this cigar. The smallest of the Edicion Limitadas 2012 comes with a length of 4 7/8 inches and a ring gauge of 50. While offering a fine structure alongside mild to medium spices in flavour and aroma, this cigar is unmistakably a Habano.

2012, Germany has been favoured with its very own kind of limited edition Cuban cigar. The Bolivar 5ta Avenida Ecidion Regionales Alemania is manufactured in the Partagas Factory and seeks to embody a smoke as it was appreciated in forgotten times. Medium-bodied from beginning to end, the cigar in the vitola 109 (Lusitania) demands attention with its unique draw and burn. The limited long filler charms with hints of nuts and cedar as well as the charismatic spice one has grown accustomed to when smoking a Bolivar. This cigar is a real beauty to behold as it rests in an elegant porcelain jar.
