A smoke in times of rest is a great companion to the solitary soldier
Che Guevara

When going for a trip to Europe or any other beautiful corner of Earth, you often tend to experience all possible pleasures and have all kinds of amusements. Well, that’s why vacations exist, isn’t it?! This also refers to cigars, especially of Cuban origin – a thing every aficionado should have to enjoy the journey. You can find them anywhere in the world, except USA where they’re banned. So, while enjoying the views and exploring a new country, why not give yourself a treat?
After your plane landed to a beautiful city you never been before, your first thought would naturally be: “How fast could I get to my hotel room to have rest and enjoy a good Cuban stogie?” If your travel implies visiting big cities and interesting places, you don’t have to worry about that. Habanos S.A. – the official representative of Cuban cigars around the globe, has a number of stores worldwide selling its luxurious production.
Relax, enjoy the city you’re in and let’s start thinking where you could get a nice stogie for the evening smoke. You may be familiar with such names as Partagas Serie D, Montecristo No. 2 and Romeo y Julieta Churchills, so we won’t mention them in this article any more. Here are some best choice cigars from the newer releases currently offered by Habanos S.A.:

Cohiba Behike line includes three new formats – BHK 52, BHK 54 and BHK 56. World’s most prestigious Habano brand launched some of the most expensive cigars in the world. They are aimed at attracting an aficionado with a cultivated taste and a large pocket ;) The cigars from a very rare Medio Tiempo leaf blend will be released each year in a very small quantity. They already gained high scores from those who tried them and were included in ‘Wish Lists’ of millions of BOTL.

Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure Especial is a 2008 year release cigar presented while on a Festival del Habanos in Havana, Cuba. The cigar quickly won wide popularity, becoming aficionado’s #1 for their rich and powerful feel. Its shape called Gordito is very appealing as well: 50 ring gauge with 5 1/2″ length.

H. Upmann Magnum 50 has been released as a Limited Edition 2005 first but after it proved to be a huge success among smokers, they launched it to the mass market. A large cigar with a mighty note of spice and cedar, it will catch attention of everyone around if you’re smoking it outside.

Montecristo Open series – is a new line of cigars within the Montecristo brand, that was officially released on the market in 2009. The line includes 4 vitolas – Montecristo Open Eagle (54 x 5 7/8″), Montecristo Open Junior (38 x 4 1/3″), Montecristo Open Master (50 x 4 3/4″) and Montecristo Open Regata (46 x 5 1/3″). The cigars could be easily distinguished from their Montecristo siblings after a second green band on them.

Partagas Serie P No.1 JAR has been presented in October, 2009 in Cannes. It was intended as a travel item and is presented in a very beautiful black porcelain jar containing 25 Petit Pirámides. The cigars quickly became popular collection item, earning the title of the “Best New product in the Tobacco Category 2009”. If you’re that kind of traveler looking for adventures, take them without hesitation! Classic Partagas kick guaranteed :)

Trinidad Robusto T – a luxury cigar, relatively new on the market – it appeared in 2009. Smokers who like creamy flavors will definitely appreciate the stogie of a medium body with woody nuances and a strong finish. If you are familiar with the superb quality of Trinidad, you will long for this cigar!

No matter which cigar you pick, remember – Cuban cigars will never be too much. It’s a luxury a small number of people are able to afford but any aficionado should enjoy.
