I’m ashamed to confess it but I didn’t manage to smoke one of the greatest cigars of all Cuban times and nations yet. Cohiba Robusto cigar is worth mentioning and reviewing as much as possible because it’s one of the best and most sough-after Cuban cigars in the world.

I must say I was very lucky to get a cigar of such quality in a very good shape. It’s always disappointing to be rarely able to smoke those beauties and get some from the bad batch.

So, as I said before it was an example of a nice looking, perfectly rolled stogie with an oily texture and almost no veins on it. But I know from my own experience that good-looking is not always the sign of a perfectly tasting cigar.

The draw wasn’t perfect from the very start but thanks God it improved and I didn’t even manage to get nerves and spoil my overall pleasant mood for that day. ;)

First third: peppery, peppery once again and woody – that’s what I felt when smoked the first part of this wonderful cigar. Though I must admit I felt some other nuances there as well, like creaminess and earthiness closer to the second part.

Second third: creaminess starts to gain power and mixes with pleasant notes of honey which I always liked from childhood.

Last third: didn’t disappoint me either – got a lot of creaminess along with cocoa and a little leather in the end.

Very decent cigar and a strong bodied one. So if you’re only a novice in this cigar deal, be aware to smoke it as your first stick – it could be just too much for you :)
